Her company, Sole Searching, reflects her personal journey researching her paternal great-grandfather who manufactured shoes for the Russian army in the early 1900s. Ellen has held numerous leadership roles in major genealogy organizations, organized records acquisition projects internationally, and managed translation initiatives. She has completed the ProGen study program and maintains the APG code of ethics. As an experienced genealogy researcher, educator, and author, Ellen discovers connections and adds to unique family stories.
