New Orleans-based Certified Genealogist with two decades of experience researching families and institutions in south Louisiana and the Gulf Coast. Louisiana Creole native with expertise in historical records, archival research, and genealogical analysis.

Jari C. Honora is a Certified Genealogist® and New Orleans native with deep roots in Louisiana Creole heritage dating back more than two centuries along Bayou Lafourche and the German-Acadian Coast. He holds a degree from Tulane University and works as Family Historian in the Williams Research Center of the Historic New Orleans Collection. With two decades of experience researching families and institutions in south Louisiana and the Gulf Coast, he provides professional genealogical and historical research services, record retrievals, and cemetery documentation. His work has contributed to television programs including Finding Your Roots and We'll Meet Again, as well as the Georgetown Memory Project. He is a regular contributor to the CreoleGen blog and has presented at major conferences including the International Black Genealogy Summit, Southern Historical Association, and the Afro-American Historical & Genealogical Society. His research interests include Louisiana Creole people and institutions, the history of fraternal orders and benevolent societies, and the Black Catholic experience.
