John Boeren is a fulltime professional genealogist and founder of Antecedentia (established 2015). He began genealogical research in 1988 and worked at the regional archives in Tilburg from 1996–2005. He holds a Master's degree in Genealogical, Palaeographic and Heraldic Studies (MSc, with distinction) from the University of Strathclyde, a Professional Development Certificate and Methodology Certificate from the International Institute for Genealogical Studies (Canada), and an English Records Certificate.
