John Daskalakis is the founder of Rízes Hellenic Genealogy Research, a genealogical research practice focused on helping clients discover their Greek roots and family heritage. What began as a weekend hobby while working for Microsoft has evolved into a full-time genealogical practice serving the global Greek community. Mr. Daskalakis completed the Boston University Genealogical Principles course and holds an MS in Elementary Education (Dowling College) and BS in Adult Education (St. Joseph's University of New York), along with a permanent New York State teaching certification and Microsoft-certified Education Expert credential. He is actively pursuing a Ph.D. focused on Greek American History, with dissertation research on anti-Greek sentiment in the United States since the 1800s and Greek American participation in civil rights movements.
