Katharine O'Connell is an experienced forensic genealogist and founder of North Coast Genealogy LLC. She and her team assist attorneys and major banks in locating missing and unknown heirs. Dr. O'Connell has provided due diligence research in over 200 probate and title cases in locations throughout the United States and internationally. Her clients include attorneys throughout Ohio and the trust departments of Huntington, Key Bank, and PNC Bank. She regularly provides pro bono research for the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland. Dr. O'Connell regularly publishes in law and bar journals and is in demand as a speaker on forensic genealogy, finding missing people, and consumer DNA awareness. She serves as a mentor in her field and was chair of the mentoring committee for the Association of Professional Genealogists, Forensic Section. She holds professional affiliate membership with the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, Association of Professional Genealogists, and National Genealogical Society, and is a licensed private investigator in Ohio.
