Kimberly Beaton Quintero has earned a master's degree in communication from the University of Texas and a bachelor's degree in journalism with a minor in family history studies from Brigham Young University. An award-winning writer and editor, she has received professional recognition from the Utah Press Association, the Arizona Newspapers Association, the Society of Newspaper Design, Suburban Newspapers of America, and the U.S. Army. She has taught writing and editing courses at three universities and has produced more than 175 photo record books. She has done research in virtually every region in the United States and Canada, with work extending into England, Scotland, and Australia. She is an active user of major genealogical websites and is dedicated to continuing education.
