Fourth-generation Californian passionate about teaching people to research, document, and share their family histories, with specialization in Japanese American genealogy and DNA research.

Linda Harms Okazaki is a fourth-generation Californian who is passionate about teaching people of all ages to research, document, and share their family histories. Her areas of interest include the western U.S., upstate New York, England, Australia, Japanese Americans, and the use of DNA in genealogy. She has led genealogists at the Nichi Bei Foundation's pilgrimages to Angel Island Immigration Station and the Wakamatsu Tea and Silk Farm Colony. Since 2018, she has written a column entitled 'Finding Your Nikkei Roots' in the Nichi Bei News. She provides genealogical research services ranging from private consultations to long-term research projects, including research management for authors and filmmakers.
