Luana Darby is a professional genealogist with over 35 years of experience in genealogical research. She began organizing family history documents in 1977 and has worked professionally since 1995. She holds a bachelor's degree in Family History from Brigham Young University and a master's degree in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University. She is an Accredited Genealogist® and has completed advanced study tracks at the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy covering German-speaking areas, Midwest research, American records, forensic genealogy, and genetic genealogy. She specializes in Palatine German, U.S., Canadian, and Western European research, frequently traveling to archives in Germany, Poland, and France. Luana is a frequent lecturer at national conferences and institutes, former president of the Utah Genealogical Association, and serves on boards of the Association of Professional Genealogists and Genealogical Speakers Guild. She is also available for estate and forensic work.
