With over 45 years of passion for family history and 30+ years of teaching experience, she specializes in genealogical research, DNA analysis, and historical documentation for clients across the U.S., with particular expertise in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Southern Italy.

Lynn Breyfogle, PhD is the CEO and Lead Family Historian of Family History Sleuth, LLC. She has been passionate about her family history for over 45 years and has uncovered ancestors including Mayflower Passengers, Revolutionary War Soldiers, Civil War Soldiers, and immigrants from Italy, Hungary, and Germany (1855–1900). Her background as a professor of mathematics and mathematics education spans over 30 years, providing her with exceptional logical thinking skills and attention to detail. She divides her time between Lenawee County, Michigan and Montour County, Pennsylvania, and helps clients from all over the U.S. with specific expertise for ancestors from Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Southern Italy. Lynn holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Hope College, an M.A. in Mathematics Education from Western Michigan University, and a PhD in Mathematics Education from Western Michigan University. She has earned certificates from Boston University's Genealogical Principles Course and multiple YourDNA Guide and Family Tree University courses. She is an active member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, National Genealogical Society, Italian Genealogy Group, and numerous regional historical societies.
