About
Accredited Investigative Genetic Genealogist (AIGG) based in the United Kingdom, specializing in genetic genealogy and British research since 2022.
Matthew Waterfield founded Silverwell Research to offer genealogy-based services to individuals, companies, and law enforcement agencies. He is an Accredited Investigative Genetic Genealogist (AIGG) and member of the Association of Professional Genealogists. One of the first IGG practitioners in Europe, he has worked on dozens of law enforcement cases from multiple countries and is a longtime volunteer with the US non-profit DNA Doe Project. Matthew has carried out research for TV shows including Long Lost Family, The Body Detectives, and Naming the Dead, and regularly gives talks on investigative genetic genealogy.
