Genealogist specializing in early New England and genetic genealogy. Offers research services, presentations, and classes. Member of the Association of Professional Genealogists.

Nichelle founded Copper Leaf Genealogy in 2013 to help others discover their family history. After working as a ProGenealogist at Ancestry.com from 2018–2024, she returned to private client work in 2024. She specializes in early New England genealogy, general genealogy, and genetic genealogy. She has completed the Boston University Genealogical Research Certificate Program, the National Genealogical Society Home Study Course, and ProGen Study Group 25. She also holds training from GRIP (Practical Genetic Genealogy), SLIG Academy courses on DNA and advanced legal concepts, and the Genealogical Institute on Federal Records. She has served as County Genealogist for St. Joseph County, Indiana, Program Chair for the South Bend Genealogical Society, and as an instructor for the Larimer County Genealogical Society. She follows the Ethics and Standards of the Board for Certification of Genealogists and the Association of Professional Genealogists.
