About

Patricia M. St. Marie is a professional genealogist specializing in family history research, vital records retrieval, and lineage society applications throughout New England. She holds a Certificate in Genealogical Research from Boston University and has completed courses through the National Genealogical Society.

Patricia M. St. Marie is the founder and lead genealogy researcher at Professional Genealogy Research Services of New England. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Worcester State University and a Master of Education degree in Special Education Assistive Technology from Simmons University. Patricia's passion for genealogy began in childhood while visiting cemeteries with her grandmother Ruth and uncle Fran. In 2006, she confirmed her family's connection to Col. Timothy Bigelow and established a lineage to American Revolutionary Patriot Andrew Bigelow through the Daughters of the American Revolution in 2008. In 2020, Patricia's research led to the discovery of Mayflower ancestors, and she was admitted as a lifetime member of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants in 2021 after establishing her lineage to Mayflower passenger James Chilton. She completed formal training through the National Genealogical Society and earned a Certificate in Genealogical Research from Boston University before opening her professional genealogy research business. Patricia presents research findings in professionally written reports following the Genealogical Proof Standard and offers services including family tree research, vital records location, burial site research, lineage society applications, military records research, and family reunion genealogy services. She and her husband Jonathan live in Central Massachusetts with their three children.
