Professional genealogist and historical photography expert specializing in 19th and early 20th-century family photos, genealogical research across Belgium, Netherlands, France, Germany, England, Canada, and USA. Former software developer turned full-time genealogist since 2011.

Ir. Peter Eyckerman is a professional genealogist and expert in historical photography analysis. Since 2011, he has conducted genealogical research for more than 150 clients across Belgium, Netherlands, France, Germany, England, Canada, and the USA. His passion for genealogy began in the 1990s when his grandfather shared old family photos. Peter specializes in determining photographic processes, dating 19th and early 20th-century photographs, content analysis, and identification of old family photos. He has delivered dozens of lectures in Belgium and the Netherlands since 2012, written numerous magazine articles, and maintains a regular photo column in genealogy publications. Peter completed a Micro-credential in Genealogy and Genetic Heritage at the University of Antwerp (2021–2022) and specialized training in identifying historical photographic processes at Leiden University Library and the Dutch Photo Museum (2018). He is active in volunteer genealogy work, serves on the board of Familiekunde Vlaanderen, and maintains genealogical databases and indexes. His background as a software engineer enables him to develop innovative tools for genealogical research and family connection exploration.
