Reem Awad-Rashmawi is an immigration attorney, professional genealogist, and personal/community historian with over 25 years of experience in immigration law. Since 2019, she has offered genealogical research services using oral history, online and in-person document research, genetic genealogy (DNA) analysis, and photography. She specializes in forensic genealogy for probate cases, unknown parentage, and adoption cases. Her personal research experience spans Palestinian-American immigrant heritage and multi-generational US family lines dating to the late 1600s. She is currently working on a long-term community history project focused on the Arab-American community in Northern California and speaks at societies and conferences nationwide.
