Rick Allen is a professional genealogist and local historian with over 35 years of genealogical research experience, specializing in solving long-standing brick wall problems. He holds a Master of Arts in History and has taught American History at Southeast Missouri State University. As a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, he adheres to their Code of Ethics and Professional Practices. Rick conducts both onsite and online genealogical research, with particular expertise in Southern Illinois, Western Kentucky, Southeast Missouri, and broader Midwestern and Southern United States research. He has completed advanced training in genealogical methodology, genetic genealogy, land records, and has authored and published multiple volumes on regional families and historical records.
