Roots of Return

Tamiquia Simon operates Roots of Return, a genealogical research initiative dedicated to restoring the lost lineage of African American families and diasporic communities. Using historical records, oral histories, and DNA analysis when available, she helps descendants reclaim the name, place, and spirits of those rendered invisible by history. Her work honors memory, fosters healing, and reconnects the living with the wisdom of those who came before, grounded in values of reclamation, healing, truth-telling, spiritual reverence, and cultural responsibility.
